An Open Letter to PTI From A Karachiite

Well, the last couple of days we have witnessed huge debates throughout. From teen to grown-up, everyone was charged and puzzled about Karachi and its future. Being a karachiite, I was bewildered as my heart was favoring PTI while the mind was fastened. However, I voted MQM as I had my own reasons. Later on according to the official results, MQM endured first with 75 seats in Karachi, PPP second with 10 seats, independent candidates earned success on five seats whereas PTI and JI managed to achieve one seat each. Instead of arguing we have to recognize Karachi and its choice. Karachi preferred and voted for ‪‎MQM‬ sans rigging and disturbance.

Being a PTI supporter, I was upset. It is getting irritating every time you can't pinpoint others. You need to work on the gaps and build tactics to avoid failures. This DHANDDLI RONA sucks big time. Why is it difficult to admit? Why conscience-shaming statuses and video notes? It seems it is cool to scorn MQM. Such toxic onslaughts are not marked for ‪PMLN‬ & ‪PPP‬ expected achievements in Punjab and Sindh. This only inflames the frustration more because the voters feel insolenced for their selection. If you think it's just a pocketful vote bank, and Karachi is much bigger than MQM subscribers, then again the other parties displeased to mobilize them to vote. ‪

‎PTI‬ seems hell bent to formulate a 'NAYA PAKISTAN' for Karachi but with zero territory work, preparation, consistency and party structure. They attempted to win Karachi's souls and spirits via shortcut strange alliances that backfired terribly. Conceivably many in Karachi considered PTI in 2013 national elections. But the party unexpectedly Imran Khan disregarded and let them down for two years. Democracy means tolerating and respecting various preferences. Be dignified!
